FULL DAY HUE CITY 

(8 hours, from 8:00am)

  • Spend a full day exploring the green city of Hue, the former capital of Vietnam under the Nguyen Dynasty. Start first with the Imperial City, the former imperial seat of the Nguyen royal government. This is a great sprawling complex of temples, pavilions, moats, walls, gates, museums, and galleries, featuring art and costumes from various periods of Vietnamese history. 
  • Continue to visit the Thien Mu “Heavenly Lady” Pagoda, one of the most venerated sites in the city of Hue. 
  • Lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant.
  • In the afternoon, visit the mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc, the 4th emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty of Vietnam, who reigned from 1847–1883. The buildings and gardens have been shaped according to the directives of geomancy (Feng Shui). Together, they form a huge park where the beauty of nature is everywhere. Stop by the colourful workshop making conical hats and incense sticks to learn the crafts and take nice photographs.
  • End your day with an interactive stroll at the central Dong Ba market. Sense and touch the exotic flavours, ingredients and have fun for some good buy.
