When we bought the homes in 2018 and started the renovations to make them livable and functional with an authentic atmosphere, so that you have no doubt that you have indeed arrived in the countryside, the trip to the opening of Sakima Thầy homestay in 2023 began.
Visit minority villages nearby, get to meet the locals up close, observe neighbours taking their cows out in the morning and returning with them in the evening, or go on a trek in Southeast Asia’s largest national park, which stretches throughout Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand.
Visit a big plantation run by a local family that produces coffee, pepper, rubber trees, passion fruit, has a lake for fishing, and has pigs, chickens, and other animals. Depending on the season, observe how they plant, care for, or harvest their crops.
